Papageno is the way to go
We just came back from this remote island. It was amazing! The water is extremely clear, the food is delicious and traditional and the staff is super friendly. It feels more hanging out with friends and family. It's not a big resort but it has all the amenities you need and more.
If you want to experience paradise at it's best, Papageno is the way to go.
It felt like family
Papageno Resort is a wonderful place to stay. I’ve been travelling around the world for 25 years, and this is one of the nicest places I’ve ever been. The team truly understands what hospitality means, and I felt very much at home there. It felt like family.
The transfer, the room, the food, the activities, the Wi-Fi, the garden, kava ceremony — everything about this place is delightful.
They made us feel so welcome
We had a fantastic stay at Papageno resort in May, from the first boat ride to the lovely farewell. The staff were all beautiful and helpful and fun. They made us feel so welcome. The surroundings were beautiful and the sounds of bird life filled the air, the meals were good and plentiful. Phillip was a great host and hats off to him for all he’s achieved. All in all a good adventure.
What a special place this is
Papageno was our last stop on our Fiji itinerary and we certainly saved the best til last... what a special place this is. From the moment we touched down at the tiny airport we were looked after by the team and made to feel like family. The grounds of the resort are stunning, the rooms are beautiful, and the food was delicious.
Papageno gave us the perfect balance of relaxing and activities, and we made good use of the paddle-boards and kayaks to traverse the mangroves and the smaller nearby island. There is some great snorkelling and diving and it is definitely worth the journey to get to the Astrolabe reef.
Great with the kids
Incredible resort with great excursions and great people. Fishing, snorkelling, hiking, kayaking—just to name a few. Any kind of adventure you could want is available. Staff was so kind, and great with the kids. Food was amazing. A perfect way to disconnect and reset. Can't wait to go back
